Announcing Tenjin – a new attribution plugin

logoMany developers purchase ads to help drive app installs. Perhaps you are even utilizing several different ad providers but you don’t have any real insight into which ads are performing best. Instead of just looking at total install numbers, wouldn’t it be more useful to know if ad provider “A” was performing better than ad provider “B”? You could then focus your ad spending on “A” rather than “B”. Essentially, attribution services give you the insight you need to maximize your advertising budget and Corona Labs is pleased to introduce Tenjin, our latest attribution plugin.

In addition to attribution, Tenjin also gives you access to analytics features. You can log numeric events using the tenjin.logEvent() API and you can log IAP purchase data with the tenjin.logPurchase() API.

To use attribution, you simply need to call the tenjin.init() API. Like all Corona plugins, you will need to include code in your build.settings file to include the plugin at build time. Both iOS and Android platforms are supported. You will also need to sign up with Tenjin to get an API key to initialize the plugin. See our Tenjin plugin documentation to learn more about utilizing this plugin in your app.

Join us in the Corona forums to discuss this wonderful addition to our growing suite of helpful plugins. We would love to hear how you use attribution to increase app installs.
