Corona GeekDuring this week’s Corona Geek Hangout we talked with Chris Byerley ( @DevElephant ) to discuss his Coronium Cloud project that uses open source technology to create a data & push stack for Corona SDK apps and games. Chris has assembled an amazing stack of technology “for creating server-side components for your apps and games. Leveraging the Lua code that you already use in your Corona SDK projects you can easily call on MySQL, MongoDB, PHP, and server-side Lua to enhance your project. You can also integrate Push services from both Apple and Google with the proper credentials.”

    Really excited but Coronium.
    Despite some search, I’m not sure to understand how to test it. There is no “Download” button on the wiki and the screencast show some system with already installed Coronium components. Did I miss something? Should I subscribe to a beta program?

      Coronium is in private alpha. So, you’ll need to join the Coronium Google Group and ask to become a tester. The link is on the wiki homepage and bottom left sidebar, but it’s not obvious.

      Chris is very responsive, just keep in mind that he is a one persona show in terms of staff and resources 🙂

    Coronium is built on an open source stack, but will Coronium itself be open source?
